There are distinct and catalytic events and occurances in all of our lives, and when thinking of these events in retrospect, unusually vivid mental pictures sometimes remain. In relation, when recanting an event in one’s life to a close friend, the who, what, why and how also tends to contain impressions and feelings emoted from films seen, music heard, and other aspects of life, art or otherwise, witnessed and appreciated within that space of subjectivity. For many, the summer of 2009 will carry a soundtrack of Clubroot along with the stories of their life, and when they mentally mark said period, will always conjure up along with it the music of the grey album, released in June, with the fog enveloped tree on the cover.
For the artist in question, one could state a similar passage, although in this particular instance, these events and occurances have comingled into a catalyst for a new series of beautiful objects of sound to be emitted. The moment the elements of the debut release where sealed and disseminated in their complete form, our artist set out on a new path. In the process, moments of life involving visits to such disparate locales as Türkiye and Polska occurred, and in ways one can only guess upon, became parts of the Cinematic ambiance that is the new Clubroot album, S/T (II – MMX).
In doing so, our artist has created a series of images, distilled to a previously unheard level of refinement within the genre, and with a nature and overall shape and scope that largely transcends any genre one could attempt to subscribe it to. It is still electronic music, yet it all sounds so absolutely married to its accompanying elements that it seems as if it was unearthed in complete form as opposed to constructed. In specific, it possesses some of the most pronounced and arresting basslines ever heard, yet delivered musically in a language that while not the same as the likes of Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins, or perhaps Muslimgauze, if, say, these speakers of their particular language where to encounter his at chance alone amongst the desert, in the midst of a desolate voyage, and they attempted to communicate, each would not fully recognize the dialect, yet certain phrases, words, and styles of verbal delivery could be grasped.
As an 11 track program, and continuing in the spirit of the debut, when listened to in unison, the recording in discussion is almost more cinematic in scope. Time passes, and things develop in a preternatural way that seems to belong more to the realm on classic films than something witnessed very frequently in the realm of a long play audio recording. It is this aspect that makes a series of unbelievably pronounced and dramatic moments into something far larger in scope.
LoDubs is very pleased to Present Clubroot – S/T (II – MMX). 2XLP (With the CD of the entire program included), CD, and 2XCD special edition, packaged in a hand-made letterpressed box, and limited to 500 pieces.

As much as I love Untrue, this is what I live and breathe. Ambitious and lengthy tunes with multiple phases, tonnes of detail and swirling emotions. The more I hear these collection of tracks the more I think this is my personal favourites Burial release Didi

Timeless classic, I've discovered this album in 2019 and I still think it's one of the best albums ever. Great for long train rides and smoking weed at 3am akizona
