It is always pleasing to have the times catch up with your vision, and in no ways is this more true than with art ahead of its time. When LoDubs released the first of the two Egoless 12"s, known as Rainbow Dub, in the fist months of 2012, the genre of "Dubstep" was still in mid dip, thanks largely to the EDM takeover under the aforementioned name, and and also due to most of the core proponents of the sound running to high ground within less embattled, more stable genres. In this vacuum LoDubs released this record, and in being aware that it would only appeal to the underground, keen listeners of the sound, only a small quantity was pressed, which quickly and quietly made their way around the world.
Now, nearly 4 years later, here we stand, with Egoless being a primary proponent of the true sound, releasing vinyls on all the key labels of the time. History has caught up to the man out of time, as it has with his releases, and as such, we have made time to revisit a timeless release.
As stated in the headline, each copy is on some variant of marble color vinyl, of which each is either slightly or drastically different, and will be selected at random for your order. The info section was hand painted on a grassy lawn on one of the last truly dry days of the fall in the Pacific Northwest, and then stamped and numbered. Truly an artifact befitting the music.
